Education, Training and Assessing Qualification

Our complete educator package gives you both a level 3 Assessing qualification and a Level 4 Education and Teaching qualification to give you all the skills to step into the industry with complete knowledge and understanding to undertake tutoring position or enable you to deliver your very own qualifications through appropriate awarding bodies.

The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a vocational assessor. This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 years or older and will support you to gain employment as a vocational assessor, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

This is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom or other training environment). Entry onto this qualification will require you to have full competence in the vocational subject area that you will be assessing and we will provide access to a cohort of learners, so that you can gather evidence of real assessments.

This qualification includes units covering:

• the principles and practices of assessment,

• assessing learners' occupational competence in the work place

• assessing vocational skills, 

• knowledge and understanding of education and training.

This qualification is the only Level 3 certificate offered by VTCT in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training will enable you to work in a teaching role and progress on to a broader teaching qualification. This qualification is suitable for trainee teachers, those experienced in a teaching role and those working as assessors who wish to gain a teaching qualification

The qualification has been specifically designed for the 19+ age groups, this certificate is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the requisite skills and knowledge required to fulfil a teaching role.

The course content covers

• planning, delivery, assessment and the use of resources.

You will also learn

• teaching skills

• delivery skills

• participate in microteaching sessions and

• evaluation of skills and techniques

This qualification provides a sound introduction to teaching/training and is suitable for both experienced practitioners who would like to secure a professionally recognised qualification as well as those new to teaching. - Additional units will be discussed with you upon expression of interest.
